Kundapura Taluk-Level U-17 Badminton Tournament on October 19

KUNDAPURA: Young badminton talents from across Kundapura Taluk will be in action on October 19, with the Costa Badminton Center, in association with the Costa Sports Foundation, organising a Kundapura Taluk-level Under-17 Singles Badminton Tournament for boys and girls.

The tournament will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, providing budding shuttlers an opportunity to compete against their peers and showcase their skills on the court.

Players born on or after January 1, 2010, are eligible to participate. The entry fee is ₹250, while October 15, 2026 (Thursday) is the last date for registration.

Matches will be played in a best-of-three format, with each game played to 15 points.

₹18,000 Prize Purse

The tournament carries a total prize purse of ₹18,000, with cash prizes and trophies for the top performers.

Champion: ₹5,000 + Trophy
Runner-up: ₹3,000 + Trophy
Third Place: ₹1,000 + Trophy

With young shuttlers expected to battle it out for top honours, the tournament promises an exciting day of competitive badminton and a platform for emerging talent in the taluk.
